Coboard

Fire Fly Stables offers coboard programs as a way for students to further connect with their horses, and allow for extra riding time, without owning their own horse.

Coboarding can be especially helpful for students planning to show, or improve quickly in a shorter period of time.

Some horses not pictured below are available for coboard, and different packages may be available for specific horses. Be sure to check with your instructor if you are interested in coboard so we can ensure you are getting the best package for you.

Lena

14.3hh Haflinger x Thoroughbred mare

Lena would be ideal for a novice or intermediate rider, with soft hands. She takes up leg and can accommodate a taller rider. She has a strong dressage foundation and a scopey jump. Lena has experience showing combined training, and could easily take a rider up the show jumping or eventing levels.

Rusty

15.3hh Draft Cross gelding

Rusty looking for someone to either play with him at the walk and trot or to help him refine his canter and jump. Rusty is a really sweet boy who doesn’t want to do anything wrong. He likes to connect with his people and has already proven himself a worthy lesson horse. He can carry most riders weight as he has some percheron in his blood.

Zeus

15hh Morgan gelding

Zeus is a school master looking for a rider who is keen on working on their own riding. He enjoys teaching correct riding and wants someone who will practice what they learn in lessons. Zeus is available for flat (w/t/c) only.

Jack

15.3hh Paint gelding

Jack is looking for an intermediate or advanced rider to connect with. With previous experience showing on the “A” circuit.

Jazzy

14.3hh Paint mare

Jazzy is looking for a walk trot buddy. She is a forward willing mare who is very sweet. She would like someone who is very careful at putting the saddle on right which matters a lot to her. She doesn’t mind going over poles and would enjoy a rider who brings snacks to share.

Ironica

16.3hh Dutch Harness Mare

Ironica (Roni) has competed successfully in Silver Second Level Dressage. Has also attended a few horse trials and always gone clear and in ribbons. She is a special coaches horse with lots of training. Available for an enhanced co-board fee.

Molly

13.2hh Lippizan Cross Mare

Molly is a school master who has competed up to Second Level Silver Dressage. She is available for walk/trot/canter and happy to bring riders up the levels.

Calliope

16.2hh Dutch Warmblood x

Calliope is a 2020 Dutch Warmblood x. She is still growing, and is expected to mature 16.3h+. She’s starting to canter under saddle and learning to bend. Available for a reduced green horse rate for the next two months.

Dazzle

Medium Pony

Dazzle is a 2021 Canadian Sport Pony gelding by Fire Fly’s Tugs On My Heart. Currently walking under saddle, and needs to continue his education with a small rider. Available for a reduced green horse rate for the next two months
